Nigerian Upgrade

I was actually thinking about something I heard an artist say, about how we can't all just leave Nigeria to rot. He was actually encouraging everyone to come back home if they can, to make the country better ! hmm................. I don't know about coming home though.... but I do have some suggestions Nigeria cannot change at once at this rate. It will have to be in stages, just as it was gradually destroyed in stages. First thing - If we can stop the influence of the corrupt politicians NOW it will make a huge difference. You may say, how ?! ....... Since Nigeria is a society that passes on the baton to their pikin(s) to become the next politician, then I suggest the next generations' mindset needs to be changed, then and only then the change we want can begin to materialise. Start introducing the upcoming pikins to the fact that corruption is BAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDD. It kills !!!!! People suffer etc etc . This change begins right in our homes, so that it spreads once that is in progress we can start the next step. This needs to be done for about 10 years non stop. Imagine 50% of the families in Nigeria do this, and by the way those suffering are in the majority. Imagine if we in this category do this. We will have at least 60% of the population with a mindset that CORRUPTION IS BAD. Second thing - Upgrade Nigeria in batches. Leave Lagos for last ! Why... you will understand later. This means that a clean politician can actually take up an upcoming state ( or make a state become one) , transform it. Make it a tourist to the world, make that state attractive, for jobs, housing, state benefit, hospitals, schools, electricity, good drainage system, etc etc. When this happens, if it is the Nigerians I know, they will move there, this will consequently relief the pressure on Lagos ! phew.... Imagine 20 states reach this state of well 'perfection' ? That will be a major achievement. Each state independent of oil revenues.... that will be so lovely. Like I said, this are ideas that if we actually implement, will work! But who wants to go for it first because the truth is no one wants to die not achieving what they set out to do in the first place!
