End of year 2020 review.
Hi there! (except the bugs crawling this website for stress and false traffic, no hi to you)
This year started and ended in COVI-19. Crazy, crazy, I must say. However, it ended for me and my family in a very good place.
Updates: (may take a while to update it because of disruptions)
- Still doing my bible course
- Still in work
- Still have my family all intact with more additions
- Brexit is really going to happen in about a day's time, wow!
- Vaccines for the corona are being administered in bits. healthiest people last and least at-risk people.
- Anything else, can't think of any right now... but as I remember, I will update or write another post.
On the entrepreneur front:
Not much was accomplished. Not very sad about that actually. Why? because the year was stressful in itself with constantly sanitizing my hands. They are ao dry right now. But, hey, dry hands are better than being sick with no one to take care of my family.
Attempts:
- Added woo-commerce to my WordPress website. Added a mug to it. Finish. No sale yet. Why? No traffic.
- Bought some PLR. Disaster. Even the one that was okay, I didn't even get to edit it yet, imagine. I just feel I need my own space to do any writing, but something else always gets in the way. Tired of that actually, so I just pipe down for now. End of.
- Set up Instagram pages for some ideas especially my sewing attempts. All still there and will get some traction at some point.
- Checked out Tik-Tok just this December, it's so snappy and a bit minimal. A bit boring for me I think, but I guess it is serving its purpose for which it was established.
- Made some cake videos for this website, realize that people still prefer pictures to video when it comes to cakes even my Pinterest page was not so receptive, too new. I guess. Market not ready.
- Trying my hands at some graphic design and enjoying it on my phone but I may need a stylo pen for easy drawing. I just know I will get a formula that works one day.
- Took down all the pictures on my cake blog and the traffic went down, there was also a Pinterest algorithm change as well.
- Reduced my Pinterest activity too, as I have tested that it can actually send traffic to a website. I just need to organize what I want to send traffic to and then track the sale success from it. That is where I am getting stuck and diverging. Lol, but I will get there. Then of course the issue of learning how eCommerce works is a whole new ball game.
Aim for next year:
- Tidy all ideas into just one goal to be pursued. eg sewing but incorporating all learned strategies. and dump the rest.
- Try TikTok
- Try Podcasting
- Keep trying some surveys to pay for Webhosting etc.
That's all for now.
Hopefully, updating this blog more and more
